Our History

V&P was founded by Frank Varela in February 2006. Frank has 23 years management experience in the executive search/recruitment sector and for the past 20 years, he has specialised in finding creative solutions to strategic recruitment problems. During that time, Frank has been responsible for many high profile moves within legal profession, helping clients to hire individual practitioners as well as teams, instigating mergers and bolt-ons.

The experience of acting on large numbers of assignments has resulted in a thorough knowledge of the legal markets both in the UK and abroad. Before V&P, Frank had founded Longbridge International PLC (1990-2005) growing the company into a top 5 UK professional and financial services search firm and later floating it on the AIM London stock exchange. Frank has also been involved in a number of other business interests and has served on the boards of several companies and organisations including Proshare and Intermediation as a Non-Executive Director. He is bilingual in English and Spanish.

V&P has an outstanding team of consultants consisting of highly experienced search professionals with a legal background, providing between them an accumulated wealth of invaluable knowledge and skills. The team at V&P has worked on a varied portfolio of assignments, including private practice, in-house and mergers.
